About ME and my Education
Hola! My name is Christina Pham. I am currently attending Santiago High School. I will be a sophomore in the following year (2011 - 2012). As a freshman at Santiago, I have done more with my school than expected. I am currently in French Club, although people find it rather funny that I have Spanish as my language. Another club that I've tried out for is Girl's League. I didn't expect to be doing any sports, but I tried out for volleyball and tennis. Currently, I am playing tennis which is really fun and cool. While I was an eighth grader, I thought that I'd just fly by my first year of high school. However, now that I've tried out for many things, I am motivated to do more things involving school. I actually feel proud of my development of being more involved in school.
About myself
Even though my name is Christina Pham, my friends call me by other nicknames that I have. One of my main and favorite interests is to work with computers. I am saying the full truth and only the truth. In my free time, I like to mess with Sony Vegas to see what effects I can do. This is why I love the class, Graphic Design. Another one of my main interests is to read for fun. People may think, "Oh, who reads in their free time? That's so boring!" I like to make all sorts of origami. I admire how they look and how they are made. Adding to my many interests, I admire, play, and listen to the piano. Pianos are quite interesting once you see people making covers of songs on the piano.
One day, I might just achieve my goal of making an awesome video with my knowledge from Graphic Design consisting of piano, origami, and books. Did I also tell you that I have two pets? A rabbit named "Cottonball" and my green parakeet named "Nemo."

My Personality
In truth, I can be very, very lazy. Although it's a different matter when it comes to homework. Just kidding, I'm still lazy with my homework. I do things when I have to. I know how to control my laziness. Other than me being a lazy bum, I am an active person. By active, I mean hyperactive. When I'm with friends, I tend to be quite the weird person. I also get hyperactive when I'm tired. I don't get how that happens, but it happens. Another thing about my personality is that I'm very shy. I try not to be, but it's just something natural to me. I can tend to be sensitive also. I cry at the simplest things if it hits "the spot." Other than being hyper active, shy, and sensitive, I could be really nice if I'm not angry about anything. Yes, even as a nice person, I can be mean and have a temper. Mostly I am on my nice side, thank goodness. Overall, I'm a nice, hyperactive, weird, shy, lazy and sensitive person.
My Hobbies
You could say I'm just a boring nerd who would just sit around and do things that are educational. Although I am a nerd, I have other interests just like any other teenage person out there. Like I've said before, I like to do origami, play the piano, mess with things on the computer, and reading for FUN. Other than that, I'm mostly on AOL Instant Messenger since I'm a big fan of contacting and keeping in touch with my friends. Maybe right now you're thinking, "Oh, I bet she spends ALL her time at home." That is, in a way correct. Since I'm trying to be more involved, I'm playing tennis and of course, attending Graphic Design at Garden Grove High School. Another hobby of mines is to collect books. Since I love books and I have what I call "mild OCD", I collect books to have things to read, and if I get one book, I must get the others to feel complete.
Graphic Design
One day during the school year, I decided that I wanted to take a ROP class during the summer since I really didn't have anything to do, plus, I would just love to be busy for one summer. I checked the schedule and saw "graphic design." That was when I decided to join Graphic Design. You could even say that destiny was calling for me. The reason I joined Graphic Design was because of many reasons. The two main reasons I wanted to join the class of graphic design was because I love to do things with technology. My reason being, "I want to make stuff look cool." The other main reason for joining Graphic Design was the free time I had, which could be used to learn different things and to do something fun and educational.
My Goals
Like I said in my last paragraph, I would like to achieve to create a video out of my origami, piano, and books. I haven't exactly thought about goals I would like to do with life, but I have many for my education. There are several people I look up to because they have joined so many extracurricular activities and they do so much instead of just sitting around in front of a computer all day. One day, I would like to be able to attend UC San Diego, Massachusetts Institue of Technology, UC Los Angeles, or UC Riverside. Other goals I have are to be successful in school. One of the tennis coaches at Santiago High, School once told us,"Being successful isn't all about winning. To be successful, you must try your best. Even if you lose, people may say, 'Oh that person isn't successful because they lost.' As long as you tried your best, then you are successful." This quote will always be with me when I am feeling down if I did something wrong.
